“But my ultimate inspiration comes from my best friend, the dazzling woman from whom I received my name and my life’s blood, Lorelai Gilmore. My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn’t do whatever I wanted to do or be whomever I wanted to be. She filled our house with love and fun and books and music, unflagging in her efforts to give me role models from Jane Austen to Eudora Welty to Patti Smith. As she guided me through these incredible eighteen years, I don’t know if she ever realized that the person I most wanted to be was her.”Gilmore Girls 3.22: “Those Are The Strings, Pinocchio”

Another Challenge: 15 Day Challenge
Talk about something you love:
Track my friends is something I love, more than Castle, or NCIS or Criminal Minds or Gilmore Girls, any of it. Track made me a better person, it changed who I am and taught me so much more than just about anything else I’ve ever participated in. I learned that having natural talent helps but in order to succeed you need to work your fuckin ass off. I learned that as an individual you can do a lot, but as a team the possibilities are unlimited, so long as the team is all on the same page
But perhaps the hardest lesson I learned and what changed me the most was this fact: You can work your ass off for nine months and win every meet you go to. But sometimes, sometimes you just get screwed over and you have to learn to live with what could have been.
Sounds like a love track right?
It’s a love-hate relationship, one I wouldn’t trade for anything.
